The Lord works in mysterious ways. I had my nails done in CANS. Legend of Zorro premier, must look nice. Someone my parents or I know might see me there. Plus, I’m planning to use open toes high heels. Anyway, when I left the condo to go to CANS, the rain started to pour. Fine. It’s just around the corner. Before I went there, I passed by Mini Stop to buy load for my phone. Just my luck, they’re out of stock. While walking, the rain started to pour really hard. My feet and half my legs were soaking wet. Just when I the manicurist was about to start my filing my nails, the lights went off. Damn. Brownout. Fine. Not a problem. When my nails were finally done, the lights came back. Hmmm… Why do I have a feeling that these are signs?? No make matters worst, when I got back to the condo, the blasted elevator is not working. The brownout caused the elevator to stop functioning. Damn. I had to climb the stairs all the way to the 21^st floor. I haven’t eaten. Not a single drop of water. Plus, I’m due to meet Mel in Fitness in about 2-3 hours. My phone’s batt is one bar.

When I reached the condo door, I was panting. When our helper opened the door, I asked for a huge glass of cold water. I told her I need food. While she’s preparing, I charged my phone. I ate fast. Went to bed. I woke up a few mins later. Waited for my phone to finish charging then left for the gym. When I got to the elevator, voila, it’s not yet done. I had to go down the stairs all the way to basement 1 where the car is parked. My thighs were shaking as I drive to Fort. When I got to the gym, I told Mel that I wouldn’t be working out my legs. No treadmill today. Just had my exercise.

At least the night didn’t end badly. I enjoined the film although, some parts reminded us of law school. Koko said that it has nothing to do with law school. Try divorce, plebiscite and joing the United States as nothing to do with law school. Heck, Sannet and Mel even thought of Crim, uninhabited place and ignominy. Hmm…

The movie in general was nice. Just get rid of the love story. It’s irritating. Kissy here. Kissy there. DARLINGS!!!! Your lives are in danger and you had the time to kiss each other PASSIONATELY??!!!! Where’s your sense of urgency??!!! It’s like kiss now, think of saving life later. AAARRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!! I’m sorry to those who enjoyed those scenes. I’m after the fight scenes. Although, I must admit, Antonio Banderas looked really hot. I love the loose white long sleeves w/ buttons open nearly half way tucked in tight pants with boots. Man, do I love guys who can pull off that outfit. Catherine Zeta-Jones is flawless as usual. I hate her for that. Damn. She’s gorgeous. Next to me, she’s nothing.

My major disappointment is the fact that it’s setting is in California during the time when there are a lot of Spanish influence. Given that fact, there were no HOT, GOOD LOOKING, TAKE MY BREATH AWAY Hispanic guys. Where’s Eric the gay bro’s lover from Must Love Dogs (the epitome of a hot, good looking, take my breath away guy)??? He should be there!!!!! At least guys like him should be there and in Duce Bigalow!!!

May emotion??? Siyemps!!!! Walang gwapo sa movie. Pero, as Mel said, daming cutie sa loob ng theater. Are you guys from law school??? Ba’t di naming kayo nakikita??? Koko, should you read my blog, when is your next event???

Sannet was insisting that we go to the after party in Capones. Why not? The place is near ours. Prob was, it’s 11pm. Chances are I’ll do a Cinderella. Plus no one’s coming with me. So, I didn’t go. But, for the heck of it, Euns, her friend Jason and I decided to pass by. Yes. We pass by all right. I drove the car pass Capones. That’s it. Literal.

Message to Sannet: Ang lakas mo papuntahin kami pero ikaw ang unang humindi. Walang ganyanan.

Here’s the best part of the entire evening. When I got home, I asked our helper what time did the elevator start working again. She said two hours before I got home. OMG!!! Imagine to all the groceries my mom bought that afternoon!!!!!!!!!!!!! They had to wait until the elevator worked before the groceries were brought up. The perishable goods had to be brought up by foot using the stairs. Tsktsktsk. And I thought, the world was conspiring for me not to look good. How selfish??!!!

Favor to whoever remembers. Elena told Alejandro something like.. Look into my eyes and tell me…. I forgot the next. She said that when they were fighting because Alejandro broke his promise. I think it was before she said “You fight to give the people freedom. Why can’t you give ours?”. Whoever remembers it, kindly tell me. I NEED to know that line. As Sannet would say, nakakagimbal!
